As part of these efforts, IDA will host an inward investment mission from June 12 – 17, 2022 comprising of forty (40) businesspersons representing twelve (12) companies in Guadeloupe and ten (10) companies in Martinique. These businesspeople have expressed interest in considering Dominica as an investment destination and will be engaged in a series of activities during their visit to include: (i) Business matching meetings, (ii) site visits to business of interests and investment areas, and (iii) site visits to Dominica’s natural attractions, which have been arranged to take full advantage of their stay on island”, Ms. Joseph said.
The IDA will be placing a strong focus on attracting investments in manufacturing and agroprocessing, organic agriculture, creative, knowledge & digital sector as potential investment opportunities. Investments in eco-tourism accommodations and ancillary services will also be featured during the mission. Invest Dominica Authority is also keen to listen to opportunities on possible new investment ventures that will be of mutual benefit to Dominica and the French West Indies.
